Comapa and Ángel Nieto Team Collaborate Together in the Next MotoGP Championship.
Comapa, leading company in the sales and distribution of whole legs of jamón on a national level, and Ángel Nieto Team, the only Spanish MotoGP team, join forces this season in all the categories in which the team participates, from a grassroots level in Spain to the pinnacle of the world MotoGP championship.
Angel Nieto Jr., the team principal: "We're delighted to announce that a company of the calibre of Comapa is on board with our project, the Ángel Nieto Team. We share the values of commitment, effort, sacrifice and hard work. With Comapa we hope to achieve many triumphs this season. Indeed, we've already started the season with several victories and podiums in the Spanish championship and the Junior World Championship and we want to continue along these lines, growing and supporting our drivers in their quest to get to the top".
David Álvarez, from Comapa’s Management team: "We are proud to join forces with such a successful Spanish and international team, strengthening the values that unite us and growing together. We are committed to our consumers; our mission is to make traditional Spanish charcuterie available to everyone at an affordable price, seeking the utmost quality in every product and always innovating towards more sustainable production methods, something that unites us with the Ángel Nieto Team and their project for an electric motorcycle to compete in the world championship that kicks off in 2019.
In addition, Comapa aims to promote youth sport and that's why we're also collaborating with the Junior division of the Ángel Nieto Team, supporting these young talents who are so committed to the sport and their efforts, tenacity, dedication and determination to excel.
Since we started on this journey, we've already seen four Grands Prix, in Qatar, Argentina, the United States and most recently in Jerez. The team work has been excellent, leading to some great moments, such as Álvaro Bautista's race where he overtook countless times until finally finishing in eighth position in the Jerez Grand Prix. Or, the victory of rider Raúl Fernández, who finished as Moto3 Junior World Championship race winner last Sunday 29 April, at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo (Valencia).
The MotoGP Grand Prix in Catalonia is going to be held in a few weeks, and we are the main sponsors. Our logo will be displayed in a visible place on all the team's motorbikes, and we will have the opportunity to have a unique experience with the only Spanish MotoGP team thanks to Ángel Nieto Team”.
